The CBC's Children's and Teen Choice Book Awards
The Children's Book Council has officially opened the voting for this year's Children's Choice and Teen Choice Book Awards, the only national book awards program where the winners are selected by children and teens. Please visit cbcbookawards.com to see the finalists and encourage your local kids and teens to vote for their favorites now through May 12th.
Launched in 2008 by the Chidlren's Book Council and Every Child a Reader, the Children's & Teen Choice Book Awards program was created to provide young readers with an opportunity to voice their opinions about the books being written for them and to help develop a reading list that will motivate children to read more and cultivate a love of reading.
- Visit our digital toolkit online for "I Voted" stickers, Awards badges, and more.
- Check out our resources for teachers & librarians and booksellers.
- Host a polling day or create a ballot box in your school, library, or bookstore.
Winners will be announced live during Children's Book Week (May 12-18, 2014)—the annual celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading—at a charity gala to benefit Every Child a Reader. The gala is open to the public, and both adult and child tickets are available. Visit ccbookawards.com/gala.php for pricing information. E-mail email@example.com to purchase tickets.
