Daria Peoples is an author, illustrator, and elementary school art teacher. Her first job was at nine years old in her hometown library. Daria earned a spot in the Highlights Foundation Diversity Fellowship, where she met her mentor, the celebrated illustrator Floyd Cooper. When Floyd passed away, Daria stepped in to complete the art in his last book about a girl transformed by a day in the big park, which is Tasha’s Voice by Carmen Bogan.
