Nathan Chen, 2022 Olympic Gold medalist, is a 23-year-old American figure skater. He is also a 3-time World Champion and 6-time U.S. Champion. At the 2017 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Nathan became the first man in figure skating history to land five quadruple jumps in a single performance, and is the first Asian-American male skater to win U.S., World, and Olympic titles. He began skating at age three in his hometown of Salt Lake City. Nathan is currently a junior at Yale majoring in Statistics and Data Science, and is the author of two books: his memoir, One Jump at a Time, and a children’s book, Wei Skates On.
