Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich

Perkovich writes fiction and nonfiction for children, is a contributor/editor for various anthologies, and is a member of The Brown Bookshelf. Previously, she was a board member for We Need Diverse Books. Olugbemisola is caught reading Fruit of the Lemon by Andrea Levy.

The Brown Bookshelf is designed to push awareness of the myriad Black voices writing for young readers. A leader in the children’s book diversity movement, they were the 2019 winners of the CBC Diversity Outstanding Achievement Award, a partner of the Children’s Book Council on book lists and program sponsorships, and, now, an Every Child a Reader and Get Caught Reading partner.
